Subtraction Stories – Number Patterns

What is it?

A printable card game that helps with basic subtraction.
Each card has a short story about subtraction that can be read with a ReaderPen.
It also has numbers, a picture of the number and the number word.

Why is it useful?

Learners with dyscalculia are not able to recognise shape clusters as having a link to number. This is because the number has not been understood yet.
This game will help learners to see the number and master arithmetic facts.
Players can also use their ReaderPen to help understand worded maths questions.

Number Patterns & Number Words to Twenty - Number/Word Match

What is it?
A printable card game that helps recognise number words.
It works like the game Fish! Place the cards upside down on the table and find/match the pairs.
Use a C-Pen Reader 2 to decode the word or number where needed.

Why is it useful?
Learners with dyscalculia are not able to recognise shape clusters as having a link to number.
This game helps to develop numberness and relationships between words and number using the scanning pen.
Helpful where a learner may have a combination of dyslexia and dyscalculia.
