Discovering a Love of Reading at Yardley Primary School
Inclusive education is at the heart of Yardley Primary Schools approach to learning. Initially ReaderPens were provided to dyslexic students and this proved to have such a positive impact, that the ReaderPen intervention program was extended to include many other learners to help them become independent readers.
This case study describe the positive impact of ReaderPen for the following learner groups:
English as Additional Language Learners.
Students who struggle with self-esteem, anxiety and are working towards becoming more independent.
Learners who struggle with literacy and need additional support to access reading.
